Facts: the basic building blocks of journalism. But what is a fact?

FactCheck.org is a nonprofit and non-partisan website that aims to be a ‘consumer advocate’ for voters by reducing levels of deception in U.S. politics. It is housed at the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

The content that FactCheck.org produces are responses to what is feels are deceptive or false claims by politicians.
Other fact-checking websites include FactCheckEd.org, PolitiFact.com, The Fact Checker, and Bama Fact Check.
